I have an album of pictures of both stores so you can compare and if you search the archives you can find posts comparing the two.
The NY store is a little bigger. Street level has the concierge desk, store exclusives, AGT and Coconut and the bookstore. The second level has historicals and the theatre (I think), next is an in between level with coat check and bathrooms. They used to have a display of paintings of the book illustrations but I don't know if they still do. Third floor is Bitty, Angelina, Hopscotch Hill and the cafe.
I liked the layout of the NY store better. It seemd less jumbled than Chicago. I have not been to the NY cafe so I can not compare that with Chicago but I know the decor is a little different.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Robin, is NY less jumbled because it is larger and has more space? or do you think the layout is better?Quote:

I think Chicago is getting better by getting rid of the displays for AB and GOML. (even though I love both!) Now HHS is in the AB room and Marisol is in the AGT room where AB moved to when she left the HHS room. There is still a Marisol and AGT display when you first get off the escalators, next to the cafe. I don't care for that just because the girl clothes is in between the two sections of AGT and then the ceiling is decorated in Coconut yet there is no Coconut "section". Coconut stuff is just everywhere. In fact, someone asked me where to get Coconut and I couldn't tell them, I didn't know where the dog is actually displayed for sale!
Great pictures!!!! Thanks!!!! I am sure we will have a lot of fun, it does look a lot like Chicago, but who cares!!! We will be doing other things too!!!
I noticed the old trundle bed in your pictures? The yellow one. Do you know if they sell it in the stores still?
It is always hard going there and wanting to buy more than one thing!!!
I think the yellow bad is gone. The pictures were taken just before the 3-in-one bed was released. It was available for sale but not actually out yet.
I think NY is btter organized. The only floor in Chicago that seemd to be organized was the historical one. But Chicago was super crowded when I went so we stuck to the historical level.
Yes, the yellow trundle bed is retired.
